About Our Board
Capstone Behavioral Healthcare is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors composed of community members who are deeply committed to advancing behavioral health in Central Iowa. Board members bring a diverse range of expertise — including business, healthcare, law, education, and community service — and provide strategic oversight and governance for the organization.
The Board meets regularly to review organizational performance, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and set the direction for Capstone’s programs and services. Their dedication to our mission ensures that Capstone remains a trusted, effective, and financially sound organization.
Board Responsibilities
- Setting the organization’s strategic direction and priorities
- Ensuring financial sustainability and stewardship
- Hiring and evaluating the Executive Director
- Maintaining compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards
- Serving as ambassadors for Capstone in the community
